David Amaringo's site went live with real content — bio, gallery, services
TL;DR: David Amaringo's site moved from placeholder to a real, complete site — his bio, teaching philosophy, a 14-photo gallery, and a services page, all pulled from his own materials.

The site launched as a placeholder while we worked out the right shape for it. This round replaced that placeholder with the real thing:
What changed
- A real biography and teaching-philosophy page, written from David’s own materials, not paraphrased or invented.
- A 14-photo gallery of his visionary artwork, with a proper lightbox so each piece can be viewed full-size.
- A services page describing what he offers.
- The homepage’s hero image — originally an uncropped screenshot rather than a properly composed photo — was corrected.
- A clear decision on how donations work on the site: GitHub Pages’ terms of service permit donation buttons and crowdfunding links, but disallow sites “primarily directed at facilitating commercial transactions.” The site is framed as a showcase-and-donate page, not a storefront, specifically to stay within that line.
Why it mattered
A site that’s just a placeholder doesn’t actually represent the person it’s for. This is the round where David Amaringo’s site became a real reflection of his work rather than a stand-in for one.
